Naked Pose at the Amusement Park

When my youngest daughter was little, she would run around with no clothes on after she got out of the shower. She would stand in the hallway upstairs outside of her room, raise one arm above her head and the other down by her side and shout “I’m Naked!”  She didn’t do it all the time but often enough that it became a family thing that everyone knew about.  Actually, she said “I’m Nekkid!” but we are from the South, so I assumed this is what you were thinking anyway.

This about the same time that our family was going to Six Flags amusement parks on a regular basis. It is a common thing at these parks for someone to come up and take a picture of your group as you come in the gates.  You can purchase these photos at sometime during your visit. My wife had no interest in buying pictures or in getting our picture taken. She would try and sneak around the people with the cameras but most of the time they still got our pictures. It didn’t seem to be worth the effort so on a subsequent trip, I told my family that we should just go up to a camera and get it over with. I also told them we should have fun with it. While the person was getting ready to take our picture, I told everyone to do the naked pose. Everyone knew what I was talking about and immediately flung their arms in every direction possible. At these parks, they talk about selecting people to give free pictures. I thought our pose might be so unique that it might give us an edge in the free picture contest. It has never worked.

This has become my family’s go-to pose. We have used is at amusement parks, other vacation attractions and even my work family picnics.
